Objectives

The Tourism Industry Council (ACT & Region) objectives are:

To provide effective industry leadership and facilitate the development of tourism in the ACT & Capital Region.
To provide appropriate membership services and benefits.
To be proactive in the development of tourism industry policy to meet members’ and industry needs.
To manage the Council’s operations and finances in a manner that ensures the Council’s growth and financial stability.
To develop community, business, and government awareness and understanding of the value of tourism to the ACT & Region.
To enhance the development and delivery of quality experiences for visitors within and to the Region, particularly with regards to the integrity and standards of service provision.
Facilitate appropriate student and graduate employment development opportunities.
