The Tourism Industry Council ACT & Region’s primary objective is to represent members’ interests and as the industry’s principal lobby force, is constantly before government seeking a better deal for tourism.

The Tourism Industry Council (ACT & Region) meets regularly with ACT Government:
- Bi-monthly meetings with the ACT Tourism Minister
- Quarterly meetings with the Opposition Spokesman on Tourism
Meetings are also with Federal Ministers, including Minister for Tourism and Minister for Territories as well as ACT Federal representatives.
